The work of Marte Edvarda Tidslevold deals with topics concerning how we relate to other people, our physical relations and the discomfort that can occur when the limits of our personal zones are crossed. Her works also often require participation from the audience.

During Supermarket 2014, Marte had personal sessions with the visitors of the fair, one at a time. Based on a set of questions as a framwork the conversation was taking place, meanwhile Marte made a portrait in the shape of a mask. After the session the person was documented with the mask, and got to keep it as a memory of the conversation. More than 50 people had their portrait made over the week end.
